Digital Storytelling

Paul has been active in digital storytelling for over 10 years now.  Over that time he has taught at UMBC, The Center for Digital Storytelling and Denver Public Schools.  For those of you who are new to digital storytelling, Paul defines them in this way:  a short (3-4 minute) multimedia recording with images and first-person narration.  There are of course many variations of this form.  When Joe Lambert wrote his first book on digital storytelling he talked about 7 elements that comprised a good story.  Although he has moved on from these original elements, and never meant them to be prescriptive, it is still worthwhile considering them when creating a digital story.  Below you will find Paul's video on the 7 elements as well as exemplar stories he has produced.
